The Protestant Schiphra Medical Center is located in Burkina Faso, formerly called Upper Volta. It is located in the main capital which is Ouagadougou. This Schiphra Medical Center is located in a mission station and was created on July 28, 1953 by the French missionaries Monsieur and Madame Dupret.
It is one of the oldest dispensaries in the capital and even in the country. Nursing missionaries and French doctors took turns there until 1989. Although the dispensary is private, the State of Burkina Faso is a partner and assigns health workers. At present, 15 nurses are in charge of the 24-hour dispensary. They are supported by a pharmacy that buys more than 30 million generic medicines or specialties so that patients who are sick by day or night can obtain the appropriate medical treatment.
